After session two, I had a follow-up Zoom call with my clinician, Alan. We assessed my progress and discussed my treatment plan. Alan was happy that my dosage was working well, relieving my depression and anxiety. With newfound motivation, I'd started to get back to yoga, and daily life felt more manageable. I also met my guide, Constantine, for another insightful session. His advice and support were invaluable as I prepared for my encounter number three with Ketamine.
Session Three
I carefully prepared for my third session and focused on creating a calm and receptive space. After taking my medication, I waited for the Ketamine to transport me to another realm. The experience was, again, mind-blowing. I'm left speechless and astonished – it's so challenging to translate these ethereal moments into words. Yet, I'll try my best to remember these feelings and share them with others. The music started rough, jarring against the quiet in my mind. It mirrored the unease, the familiar tightness before the journey began.
Then, as if on cue, I was lifted. The raunchy sounds started to soften to form a melody.
Suddenly, I was above Earth, inside some sort of spaceship. The world below is a swirling blue marble. A flash of recognition – that's the Pacific Coast curve, the Amazon's green smudge. It was breathtaking. The music swelled, now a symphony of harmony that matched the vastness before me.
As the music faded, so did the spaceship, gently leaving me back on Earth. But something had shifted. The experience lingers, a reminder of a space inside myself I rarely get to explore.
